Winter Gardens Conference Centre, Blackpool

Malcolm Fryer Architects served as Heritage Consultants for the design of a new international-class conference centre within the Grade II* listed Blackpool Winter Gardens complex. Working closely with architects Bissett Adams and client Blackpool City Council, MFA undertook extensive historical research into the site’s development to establish a clear strategy for inserting the substantial new conference centre on a former car park, and for ensuring its interface with—and revelation of—the historic surroundings
