Notting Hill Townhouse
MFA were commissioned to repair and renovate a substantial mid-Victorian terraced property and to prepare it for sale as a contemporary family home.
Working to a heavily restricted budget, an existing double height glazed addition was retained but modified to improve its thermal and solar performance and to connect the lower levels to the rear garden. The main stair was carefully repaired and restored to its original details.
MFA worked closely with the (overseas) interior designer client to optimise the market appeal of the house through a flexible layout and a sensitive balance between contemporary and historic features.
